Edren Bell is a Durham native saxophonist that has been performing music for over 30 years. Bringing his own original approach and sound to each and every audience, you’re guaranteed an exceptional musical environment, entertainment, and an experience that you will never forget and that will have you clapping your hands, patting your feet, and singing right along with him as he serenades the audience. He has performed for events such as the Phoenix fest, Spirit of the Hayti Awards, Women’s Empowerment, Black Nurses Association Scholarship Awards Ceremony, West End Social, NCCU’s See and Taste, National Council of Negro Women Inc and a host of other events and festivals. Opened up for artists including Gerald Levert, Ginuwine, The Zapp Band, Freddie Jackson, Stokley, Kelly Williams, and Raheem Devaughn. He formerly served as a minister of music at Faith Community Church in Durham for 8 years. He is an accomplished and passionate musician playing piano, trumpet, clarinet, soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones, as well as the EWI and vocoder. He has studied music at NCCU, majoring in jazz studies under the tutelage of Ira Wiggins and Bradford Marsalis, as well as Randy Ingold at UNCG. He has performed with groups such as #Epitome, Covers, BB King Experience Band, Pocket Bae Experience Band, DShawn and Soul, Premium Sound Band, and is the saxophonist and band leader in the music collective group, Nuanzz.
